Meet Victor Shi, MD

Dr. Victor Shi is a well-respected, subspecialty-trained Vascular & Interventional Radiologist with unique expertise and special interest in minimally invasive endovascular surgery, including both peripheral arterial disease and venous disease treatments.

After completing his subspecialty fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, one of the most prestigious, Ivy-League university hospitals in the country, Dr. Shi took an assistant professor position at the Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he trained vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists in the field of minimally invasive endovascular surgery and interventional procedures. While remaining as a clinical professor at Loma Linda, Dr. Shi was recruited and appointed the Chief of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at Garfield Medical Center in 2016, and the co-director of Beverly Hospital’s Amputation Prevention and Would Care Center.

Dr. Shi is well regarded in both the academic realm and the community as one of the leading experts in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease including complex below the knee interventions using the latest, cutting-edge technologies. In addition to treating arterial disease, he also offers advanced techniques, including Endovenous Laser Ablation, Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation, and Endovenous Sclerotherapy, to help reduce discomfort and improve the appearance of areas affected by painful, swollen and unsightly varicose veins.

In addition to endovascular surgery, Dr. Shi is also an expert in the following minimally invasive surgical fields: dialysis access creation, maintenance, and intervention; interventional oncology, treating liver, kidney, lung, and bone tumors; women’s health, treating uterine fibroids, pelvic congestion syndrome, breast biopsy, and thyroid biopsy amongst many other minimally invasive procedures.

Together with a team of nine full-time interventional radiologists, Dr. Shi hopes to bring an academic level of minimally invasive procedures and cutting-edge technologies to the San Gabriel Valley area. Dr. Victor Shi is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
